ANNOUNCEMENT:  REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Dutchess County Workforce Investment Board (DCWIB) is soliciting competitive proposals to provide employment opportunities and soft skills training to local youth for the 2010 Summer Employment Program.  The program period is June 1, 2010 – September 30, 2010.

*** Currently the 2010-2011 NYS Budget does not include funding for TANF programs, there are no funds allocated for a Summer Youth Employment Program. This RFP is being released in the event funding becomes available the DCWIB will be prepared to begin establishing a program immediately. It is advisable that submitted proposals be accompanied by a flexible budget. ***


The New York State Department of Labor, Workforce Development and Training Division has released ADVANCE-NY ( ongoing RFA #25-M).  The purpose is to support employer strategies and local efforts for lifelong learning for the development of the incumbent worker by providing funds for upgrading their occupational skills.


The New York State Department of Labor, Workforce Development and Training Division has released Reemployment Services for Veterans Program (RSVP), an ongoing Request for Applications.   The RSVP is designed to offer On-the-Job training support to NYS businesses who hire and promote veterans and to provide NYS veterans access to career-ladder employment.  

The programs provided by this agency are partially funded by moneys received from the County of Dutchess and federal WIA funds
